Description

We’re looking for a highly motivated, professional Security Officer to join our team and help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for employees, customers, visitors, and contractors. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling the construction site, controlling access, responding to incidents, and enforcing site security procedures in line with company policy and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols and monitor the site to ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Control access to the site, including signing in/out visitors and granting authorised contractor access
  • Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activity or security concerns
  • Respond promptly and calmly to incidents and emergencies (e.g., medical situations, fire alarms, security breaches)
  • Carry out routine security checks and inspections to identify risks, hazards, and vulnerabilities
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents, patrols, and security-related activity
  • Liaise with other security personnel, site management, and emergency services when required
  • Provide a professional, customer-focused presence and support on site
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
  • Good working knowledge of security procedures, including access control, visitor management, and CCTV monitoring
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a calm, professional approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgement, problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Physically fit and able to stand and patrol for extended periods
  • Valid SIA licence (Mandatory)
