Conducting major and minor repairs on commercial vehicles, mainly Mercedes-Benz trucks Performing routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic equipment Maintaining accurate documentation of work performed Managing warranty claims and relevant paperwork Carrying out wheel alignments and tyre fitting Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards Managing workshop inventory and maintaining a clean, safe working environment Supporting team members with diagnostics and repairs Working efficiently to meet customer deadlines and uphold quality standards Candidate specifications:
Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Proven experience in diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles Ability to identify worn or faulty components according to DVSA standards Full UK driving licence relevant to vehicle category Strong work ethic with excellent problem-solving abilities Passionate about vehicle repair and delivering outstanding customer service Metal independent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach Experience working within a dealership or workshop environment is preferred If you are a dedicated HGV Technician ready to elevate your career, we encourage you to get in touch with Dee at Perfect Placement.
