People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well‑established client based in Stepps

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver
, Category C Driver
, or Lorry Driver
.

Shifts: Day shifts with early starts

Pay rate: £15.25 - £18.50 per hour

• Operating Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Delivering products to business customers, sometimes with assistance from a Driver's Mate
• Loading and unloading vehicles in a safe and careful manner
• Carrying out pre‑ and post‑journey vehicle checks
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
• Following assigned delivery routes and schedules
• Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
• Some handball work required

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and road safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a two‑person delivery team

• Previous commercial or multi‑drop driving experience
• Experience delivering large or bulky items
• Customer‑facing delivery experience

• Full industry‑related training and ongoing support throughout the assignment
