Job Description
Responsibilities of a Part Time Engineering Technology Instructor include but are not limited to:
Lecture and or Lab instruction for Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, and or Technical Physics courses
Demonstrate and assist students with lab procedures and ensure adherence to safety precautions
Develop syllabi and course materials. Instruct students in accordance with curriculum standards and objectives
Independently evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes. Make necessary provisions to meet learning needs
Provide advisement to students
Attend staff meetings and recruitment activities as requested
Required Qualifications
5 years of work-related experience
OR
Applied Science degree in Engineering Technologies or equivalent degree
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University
1 year full time teaching experience
Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce
Knowledge of computer classroom technologies
Knowledge of Canvas or other Learning Management Systems
Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability.
Schedule: Engineering Technology courses are taught at North Las Vegas, Henderson and Western Campuses, in-person/ online and are scheduled during the day, evenings, and weekends
Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
