Job Summary

Life Skills Unlimited supports individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and related disorders in their homes or apartments to maintain activities of daily living, ensuring optimal health and safety, fostering independence, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

• Teach and assist in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, bathroom duties, facial hygiene, brushing teeth, bathing/showering, shampooing, and dressing appropriately for weather and activity.
• Support individual’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) and daily activities, household chores, money management, and community activities.
• Monitor changes in health, appearance, and behavior.
• Follow physician’s orders regarding medication and dietary needs.
• Complete documentation to meet Life Skills, Federal, and State regulatory requirements.
• Complete required training and ongoing development according to Life Skills and State time frames.
• Maintain professionalism and treat everyone with respect and dignity.
• Punctuality: report to work on time and be ready for the assigned shift.
• Communicate effectively with others.
• Perform all shift duties and tasks assigned by management to meet the needs of the individuals served.

• May transport individuals in agency vehicles to and from work, errands, doctor visits, recreational activities, and shopping.
