JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation’s war‑fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today’s missions and tomorrow’s global challenges.
Job Summary – Essential Functions / DutiesEvaluates system specifications, installs and configures enterprise computer systems, establishes standards, ensures hardware/software compatibility, and maintains workstations and server systems focusing on the operating system and the network.
Job Responsibilities- Perform daily operational support on the computer OS, including system security, access, configuration, backups, and restores.
- Specify network requirements, monitor LAN performance, troubleshoot networking hardware, and ensure the system operates per specifications and parameters.
- Organize and secure directory structure and assist/train staff in the use of department Document Management Systems, associated databases, and CM/DM release procedures.
- Maintain and design functional, visually aesthetic web pages.
- Specify hardware requirements and provide Computer Authorization and custodial receipt listings to track equipment configurations and identification logs.
- Serve as POC for problem reporting, incremental version updates, and monitor yearly support contracts.
- Recommend future hardware/software implementations and process improvements; schedule, plan, and perform system upgrades, including transitions from design, test, production, and documentation environments.
- Provide operational status as required.
- Use established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete complex assignments requiring originality and ingenuity with minimal supervision and considerable latitude for independent contribution.
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
- Manage and administer storage solutions, including NAS and SAN systems.
- Other duties as required.
- Independent problem solver and excellent communicator who excels in administering and deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
- Proficient in Red Hat Enterprise Linux; SUSE Linux a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience building and managing Red Hat systems.
- Ability to manage Red Hat via CLI, not just GUI.
- Experience with Ansible.
- Proficient in scripting.
- Ability to configure a hybrid environment composed of Windows and Red Hat systems.
- Ability to patch, compile, and secure Red Hat systems.
- Must obtain a Sec+ certification if not already held; certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience through technical training, certification program completion, or experience. Requires at least 9 years of experience in computer system related areas of expertise. Must possess broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems, and have specific experience in maintaining operating systems and supporting applications in a centralized and distributed server environment.
The incumbent must possess a valid, state‑issued driver’s license, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, and be a U.S. citizen.
