Qualifications
  • Must pass a valid Nevada Driver License and pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check
  • Minimum 5 years driving experience
  • Experience working with homeless and or at‑risk veterans preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents, staff and community partners
  • Veteran status preferred
  • Must pass a criminal background check
Licenses & Certifications

Driver's License (required)

Responsibilities
  • Pick up and drop off passengers to their destinations
  • Deliver important documents to required destinations
  • Choose best routes to destinations by using maps and GPS
  • Follow set route and time schedule
  • Maintain mileage logs
  • Keep all vehicles clean, fueled, and ensure proper fluid levels are maintained
  • Ensure appropriate vehicle maintenance is performed on time
  • Assist at Veterans Front Desk as needed
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus.

The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
