Receiving Inspector

Hourly Wage: $18.92

Responsible for inspecting and testing of component parts, kits, and subassemblies to ensure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, processes, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements

• * Perform visual, dimensional, and physical inspection and testing of component parts, kits, and subassemblies
• * Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform necessary corrective actions
• * Disposition accepted and rejected product as needed
• * Complete inspection forms in a legible and accurate manner
• * Rework product to meet specifications, as needed
• * Verify that all tools and scales are properly calibrated and in date, and coordinate replacements as needed
• * Assist Receiving in the movement of product to inspection area as needed
• * Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
• * Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
• * Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
• * Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
• * Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
• * Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

• * Must be a friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:

• * Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
• * Utilize testing and inspection equipment including go/no-go gauges, measuring tape, and use calibrated equipment to determine acceptance criteria
• * Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• * Compute and compile necessary data and present data in various forms for recording and reporting
• * Read, interpret, and follow instructions, policies, procedures, and process guidelines
• * Operate effectively as a team member with minimal supervision
• * Lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.

Must have:

• * Good verbal and written communication skills
• * Good visual and color perception with excellent attention to detail for fabric inspection
• * Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel

• * At least 6 months of Quality Assurance experience OR at least 1 year of experience in a hands-on assembly or manufacturing role following quality processes

• * At least 1 year of experience inspecting mechanical components and assemblies preferred
• * At least 1 year of experience in evaluating weld quality, materials, and inspection for completion preferred
• * At least 1 year of experience inspecting received parts in a manufacturing environment preferred
• * At least 1 year of experience utilizing Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) (Engineering Drawing and Related Documentation Practices) preferred
• * At least 6 months of experience operating powered industrial forklifts preferred
• * Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

• * High School Diploma or GED
