ARC Team Member

Become part of the ARC team! The Salvation Army (TSA), Adult Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) is a no‑fee program that assists men and women in completing our drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Our employees contribute to maintaining and improving the effectiveness of the program, creating a greater sense of purpose and opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management, rotation, ARC merchandising standards (CNO Standards), and donations.
  • Assumes responsibility for all day‑to‑day store operations, including personnel and cash handling, in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager. Discuss concerns with District Sales Manager.
  • Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.
  • In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager, schedules Store Employees to ensure appropriate coverage in store and donation center. Coordinates daily morning and shift change team meetings and provides coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees. Responsible for processing paperwork per Review Standards, especially as it relates to Time and Attendance compliance.
  • Ensures high levels of Customer and Donor satisfaction through excellent service to meet their needs while maintaining good Community relations. Develops strategies to improve service and maximize the customer experience.
  • Supports Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals.
  • Supervises, supports, and reports on program Beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place at the store.
  • Protects and secures store currency, inventory, and property, including safe funds and bank deposits, products for sale, store equipment, and building security.
  • Secures building during non‑operating hours with alarm system arming and alert protocol.
  • Maintains safety measures consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations, and reports safety issues and incidents promptly. Assists with conducting and recording mandatory Weekly Store Meetings.
  • May be transferred or relocated to other stores based on business needs.
  • Completes all tasks assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of previous retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, customers, and donors.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
Pay and Benefits

This position is part time and has a pay rate of $14/hr at 25 hours per week.
