Overview
Maintenance Technician C – Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. This role supports safety, efficiency, and longevity of our vehicle fleet.
Compensation and Benefits- CBA Position:
Position subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement - Pay range: $29.65 – $43.38 (Union Payscale); starting pay $29.65 with progression to $43.38 over 4 years
- Benefits include: vacation up to 1 week per year; paid sick leave (8 hrs monthly for full-time employees); medical, dental & vision after 90 days for full-time employees; life insurance; 401k retirement benefits; company holidays
- Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement
- Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance Inspections
- Perform repairs on CNG/Diesel buses
- Other duties as required
- Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred; experienced automotive technicians are encouraged to apply
- Mechanic’s Tool Set
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs
- Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity conditions (100% of the job performed outside); work alone and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances on uneven surfaces
- Push/pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs; occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching to access equipment
- Withstand exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
