Field Service Diesel Technician

Job Summary

Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in North Las Vegas, NV. We offer a sign‑on bonus, relocation assistance, competitive pay, and benefits.

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

• Complete complex internal engine repairs
• Perform complex unassisted engine overhauls
• Resolve issues with limited or no diagnostic support
• Have detailed understanding of aftertreatment systems and components
• Mentor junior technicians with technical support and documentation

• Must pass security checks for government facilities

• Valid CDL required
• 5‑year motor vehicle report free of major violations
• Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration drug and alcohol testing, including random testing
• Pass DOT physical
• Compliance with DOT Hours of Service and Electronic Log Book device use
• Minimum age 21 years

Apprentice‑Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution

Locally valid driving permit

May require licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.

Significant field service work experience

Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Customer service experience

Experience providing technical advice and coaching to junior technicians (preferred)
