Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform necessary repairs and maintenance to the office and facility buildings to support safe and efficient operations.
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Painting, plumbing, and limited janitorial work
- Low-voltage electrical work
- Rack installation and repair
- Dock and door maintenance
- Welding and basic fabrication
- Ammonia refrigeration system upkeep
- Compliance with all US Foods and government safety guidelines when working on equipment, including Lockout/Tagout, placarding, required documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment
- Responsibility for company tools and maintenance equipment, including inventory tracking, safe operation, proper storage, and security of the tool area
- Maintain a basic personal tool set and toolbox; may purchase tools or supplies from local vendors when authorized to complete job duties
- Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, or be on-call as business needs require
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Education / Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Additional mechanical training or trade school education preferred
Related
Experience:
- Minimum of six (6) months of prior mechanic or maintenance experience required
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of equipment repair and operation
- Experience with painting, plumbing, low‑voltage electrical work, and welding
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Work is performed in office, warehouse, and dock environments and may include exposure to machinery, refrigeration systems, and varying temperatures.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $44.79 per hour. This role will also receive overtime compensation.
