Revitalize U Medical Spa & Salon is seeking an exceptional PRN Perioperative Nurse to support our growing surgical and aesthetic service lines. This role is ideal for a nurse who brings both clinical precision and compassionate, patient-centered care to every interaction.

As a key member of our surgical team, you will guide patients through the full perioperative experience—from comprehensive pre-operative assessments and seamless intra-operative circulating support to attentive post-operative recovery and discharge.

Position Summary

The Perioperative Nurse provides high-quality patient care and clinical support within Revitalize U Medical Spa & Salon. This role will provide high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative circulating support, and post-operative recovery and discharge.

Position Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of new service lines, treatments, and clinic enhancements.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and other health professionals in delivering and evaluating patient care.
  • Perform and assist with specialized aesthetic and medical procedures, following established care plans.
  • Provide health education and treatment explanations to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Adhere to internal protocols, state nursing regulations, and safety standards.
  • Serve as a point of communication for patients, families, and providers to support seamless care.
  • Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives and quality improvement activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting clinical and facility-related issues as appropriate.
  • Perform direct patient care responsibilities, including assessments, triage, and procedure preparation.
  • Complete documentation accurately and maintain timely, detailed patient records.
  • Other clinical duties as assigned.
Pre-Operative Care
  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including review of medical history, allergies, and medications
  • Obtain and document vital signs
  • Prepare patients for surgery and ensure all pre-op requirements are met
  • Provide patient education and answer pre-operative questions
Intra-Operative (Circulator)
  • Assist the surgical team by maintaining a safe, sterile environment
  • Circulate during procedures, ensuring proper instrumentation, supplies, and patient positioning
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure
  • Collaborate with the surgeon, scrub tech, and anesthesia team to support efficient case flow
Post-Operative Care
  • Monitor patients in recovery and assess readiness for discharge
  • Provide post-operative instructions and ensure patient understanding
  • Document recovery progress and discharge criteria
  • Communicate any concerns to the medical team promptly
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • ACLS Certification required. (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
Desired Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience in ambulatory surgery, perioperative nursing, or plastic surgery preferred
  • Professional nursing certification is desired.
  • Familiarity with UIHC and ambulatory clinic workflows.
  • 3+ years of nursing experience.
