Financial Accountant – Brigg – c £52,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance – Accounting & Control, you’ll become a key member of an ambitious finance team, gaining exposure across both operational and strategic finance activities within a business that offers excellent long-term progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing weekly and periodic management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
  • Completing detailed sales, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations
  • Delivering insightful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
  • Producing KPI reporting packs and meaningful financial commentary
  • Supporting VAT and CIS returns
  • Assisting with year-end statutory and consolidated accounts preparation
  • Preparing audit schedules and liaising with external auditors
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, controls and internal procedures
  • Supporting wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification
  • Previous strong technical accounting experience within industry and/or practice
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
  • A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to build relationships across the business
  • Ability to work independently whilst also contributing positively within a team
