Volunteer Driver

Overview

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Volunteer Driver to transport patients to and from groups and appointments in North Lincolnshire.

• Provide transport for people wishing to get to appointments and groups. This may include access to health appointments, participation in activities, or assistance for in-patients with home leave.
• Offer reassurance and engage in conversation as appropriate during journeys.
• Report any concerns to the Supervisor / Service Manager.
• Mileage and out-of-pocket expenses will be covered; proof of a clean driving licence, insurance and MOT is essential for this role.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Tidy and methodical.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Interest in working with people with mental health conditions and/or dementia, and/or physical health needs.
• Ability to communicate with a range of people with diverse needs.
• Adhere to the dress code for the area in which you volunteer.
• To aid recognition by staff, patients, service users and visitors you must wear your  at all times.
• Be able to work as a member of a team.
