Job Duties

The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a full‑time, 11‑month position as an Instructor of Nursing. The instructor will teach students in both classroom and clinical settings, and must be committed to teaching in a dynamic community college environment and interacting with an academically and culturally diverse campus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to decision‑making on policies and problem solving.
• Participate in communication between all constituents/affiliates, both internal and external.
• Maintain an active, unencumbered registered nursing license for the state of Arkansas.
• Teach theory or clinical courses in morning, evening, or weekend schedules.
• Demonstrate strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Use Microsoft Office proficiently.
• Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently toward course objectives.
• Work effectively as a team member.
• Manage classroom, order textbooks and classroom supplies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (RN).
• Two years of nursing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• One year of nursing education experience.
