Attention all Optometry Technicians: we are calling on you to work with us providing dental exams and treatment to our Military Service members.

This position will work primarily on weekends, with occasional weekdays as needed, serving the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve components and Naval Reserve to maintain a deployable military force. You will work directly with patients, operate optical machinery, and interface with patient care software.

• Assist the optometrist with procedures and patient care.
• Take patient histories and maintain the patient records system.
• Assist patients in selecting suitable frames for their glasses.
• Demonstrate lens care and maintenance to patients.
• Repair minor issues with broken or damaged eyeglasses.
• Keep the office organized and presentable, ensuring the exam room is ready.
• Test visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes.
• Perform visual fields, OCTs, and fundus photography.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician.
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and fundus photography.
• Proficiency with computers, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
• Own transportation for site travel.
