Veterinary Medical Oncologist

After Hour Animal Hospital located in North Little Rock, Arkansas is currently seeking a full‑time board‑or‑residency‑trained Medical Oncologist to join our team.

We offer emergency care services for dogs and cats in the Central Arkansas area and have recently added Medical Oncology. We are a full‑service veterinary emergency facility stocked, staffed, and equipped for your family pet’s unexpected illness or injury. Our in‑house lab delivers quick blood results and complements our state‑of‑the‑art imaging including digital radiology, ultrasound, and endoscopy. We stock emergency drugs such as snake antivenom as well as blood and plasma transfusion products.

We are the only ER in central Arkansas that is open nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and support staff to ensure a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
• Foster a learning environment for colleagues, support staff, and veterinary students visiting the hospital.
• Triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients.
• Continue care of specialty patients who are hospitalized overnight and on weekends.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Provide clear and complete communication to clients and support staff.
• Communicate with referral partners verbally and with referral letters.
• Attend morning rounds to collaborate with specialists on currently hospitalized patients.
• Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
