Position SummaryAs a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will provide safe and efficient service, collaborate with associates to meet member expectations, and uphold Walmart’s high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests; educate other associates on tools, tasks, resources and mentor new technicians; communicate and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications and seasonality; apply knowledge of Point of Sale systems, phone and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology and systems for real‑time business decisions related to services, safety alerts, new product information, product application, and training; adapt to new tools and encourage others to adopt them.
- Communicate equipment, tools and supplies needs to the TBC Lead; track and monitor returns and special orders; operate cash registers; process transactions; work hands‑on in the physical area; maintain accurate inventory, audit, safety and compliance standards; report TBC complaints, safety hazards and issues with products, services and work areas; complete paperwork, logs and other required documentation; package, label and store merchandise in accordance with company policies and procedures;
identify member needs; assist members with purchasing decisions; and resolve issues and concerns. - Advocate for the brand by valuing the member’s experience in the TBC area and modeling high‑quality service and products; develop, influence and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive and team‑oriented style; understand roadblocks and assist in training team members.
- Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties and feedback.
