Job Type: Full-time/hourly
Total Compensation: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

- We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as an HVAC helper. The responsibilities of the HVAC helper include performing routine maintenance, replacing parts, repairing machinery, and furnishing the HVAC technicians with tools, materials, and supplies. To be successful in the HVAC field, you should have a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems as well as the tools related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of systems.
Ultimately, a top-notch HVAC helper should be able to effectively follow instructions and have the eagerness and willingness to learn. - Working safely is our company’s top priority. It is the responsibility of each employee to comply with all safety and health requirements whether established by the company or by federal, state, or local law. Each employee must be dedicated to his or her safety responsibility while conducting business. It will be a condition of employment that all employees are expected to work safely and contribute to the safety of others.
- On the job training with licensed technician.
- The responsibilities of the HVAC helper include performing routine maintenance, replacing parts, repairing machinery, and furnishing the HVAC technicians with tools, materials, and supplies.
- Assisting with the installation of HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing roof units for heating and air conditioning as well as the units inside residential and commercial buildings.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation and repairs.
- Cleaning and replacing air ducts.
- Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working order.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing plumbing and electrical systems.
- Coordinating with team members to provide excellent customer service.
- Assisting HVAC Technicians in ensuring all HVAC systems remain compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Demonstrates and promotes a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the company.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, and safety practices.
- Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively.
- Continually strive to improve personal performance. Takes an active role in seeking training or other opportunities for growth and development.
- Does not divulge any confidential personnel and/or corporate policy.
- Will not engage in gossip or other unprofessional conduct.
- Ensures complete protection of customer’s property and privacy.
- Lifts 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to climb ladders, crawl under houses and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Completes work orders, task lists, and documents to verify work performed.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- This is a “safety-sensitive” position.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Competitive pay.
- Here at ASC, each pay period for payroll is the duration of 1 week. It begins on Wednesday and goes through the following Tuesday. All hourly positions here at ASC will be eligible…
