Team Leader I – Distribution Center (3rd Shift, 10pm‑6am)
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
Shift Information: Third Shift – 10pm to 6am
Position Overview: As a Team Leader I you oversee the order‑processing team in either case‑pick or loose‑pick operations. You ensure accurate selection of products, proper labeling, and compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards while maintaining accurate inventory data. You partner with leadership to allocate resources efficiently and are available for scheduled hours to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities- Operate case‑pick or loose‑pick operations, confirming accurate selection and quantity of products, ensuring damage‑free items are palletized and prepared for shipment.
- Confirm correct labeling and maintain all related data and records.
- Monitor and execute transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Train and certify newly hired employees—both permanent and temporary—on tasks, duties, and responsibilities within case‑pick operations.
- Model safe behaviors and maintain a clean, orderly work area with high safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and reconcile inventory issues, keeping accurate records and reports; manage physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation in the WMS.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security and safety compliance (OHSA and other applicable standards).
- Optimize warehouse space capacity and review posting failures and inventory status.
- Participate in cycle counts and assist with other special projects as assigned by management.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks; operate forklift as needed.
- Deliver outstanding results through teamwork, training peers, and maintaining a positive, adaptive attitude in a changing environment.
- Communicate effectively using the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How model.
- Resolve conflicts directly and support team decisions.
- Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 1–3 years in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Computer skills; familiarity with electronic scanning devices is a plus.
- Demonstrate 100% responsibility, willingness to learn new operations/technologies, and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment requiring multitasking.
- Excellent communication skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to enforce them.
