The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit or department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

What You Will Do in This Role
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the facility’s engagement efforts by operationalizing nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
