Patrol Officer - North Mankato

The City of North Mankato is soliciting applications for a police officer position. The position assists in the investigation of criminal offenses, accidents, and other police related issues. Respond to complaints such as trespassers, fights, domestic matters, and alarms. Handle arrest situations and associated activities. Drive a patrol car to monitor traffic problems and violations. Write detailed reports to document activities.

Ensure public order is maintained/restored. Answer questions from the public on the phone or in person. Monitor and gather evidence at crime scenes. Interview suspects, witnesses, citizens, victims, etc. Face situations and be prepared to use force as necessary. Testify at trials, hearings, and/or grand juries. Other duties as assigned.
