Objective: Provide support to those with developmental disabilities in a person-centered way. Encourage independence and daily personal growth while assisting with cares and engaging in home and community activities.

Wage:

• $18.00 per hour for full-time employees after the completion of a 90‑day introductory period, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour.
• $16.50 per hour for part‑time employees after the completion of a 90‑day introductory period, with a starting pay of $16.00 per hour.

Schedule: Work anywhere from 8 to 40 hours a week! Includes working at least every other Saturday and Sunday, fill‑in shifts, and holidays. Shifts may include 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, or 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for others in an individualized and meaningful way.
• Assist in personal cares.
• Engage in community activities, i.e., bowling, shopping, watching a movie or exercising.
• Complete daily direct care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, and dressing.
• Complete household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all communications to HMC, whether written or verbal, external and internal.
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or general education degree.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Must hold a valid United States driver's license and pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier unless otherwise noted.
• Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study.
• Prior experience or training is not required, but having experience as a CNA, PCA, Caregiver, DSP, or healthcare‑related professional is preferred.
