The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at UMMSOM is expanding. The University of Miami is a top-tier institution known for academic excellence, medical care, and research, employing over 16,000 faculty and staff worldwide.

• Perform a variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, and general vascular. Not required to perform cardiac cases or treat children under 2 years old. Skills in regional anesthesia and older children are advantageous.
• Supervise trainees and CRNAs.
• Perform cases independently when needed.
• Engage in academic activities such as teaching, mentoring, departmental conferences, and faculty meetings.
• Expect 3-4 overnight calls per month, with possible evening and weekend duties.
• Adjust effort distribution based on department needs, candidate interests, and grant funding success.

• Completed US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Board eligibility or certification in Anesthesiology; equivalence considered case-by-case.
