Overview

Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse, part of Homegrown Hospitality Group, is hiring a Server to create a unique and personal dining experience. The role focuses on presenting food and beverage options in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner to guests in the dining room/lounge area. Homegrown Hospitality Group operates multiple concepts and locations across South Carolina.

• Provide a warm welcome to Guests upon arrival and engage Guests through conversations aligned with current promotions or guest areas of interest
• Effectively present food and beverage options in an informative, friendly, and enthusiastic manner
• Read the table to provide a personalized experience through genuine interactions
• Inform Guests of specials and promotions; answer questions and suggest items to enhance the dining experience and ticket sales
• Write Guest orders on slips, memorize orders, and enter orders into the Point of Sale system for kitchen transmission
• Check Guest identification to ensure minimum age for alcoholic beverages
• Serve food and/or beverages to Guests to ensure an exceptional dining experience
• Check with Guests to ensure satisfaction and inform Managers as needed
• Enter all orders into the Point of Sale system for accurate inventory and communication with Back of House
• Apply knowledge of menu specs to make genuine recommendations
• Follow steps of service and company standard procedures
• Remove dishes and glasses from tables for cleaning
• Collect and accurately process Guest payments
• Bus tables and ensure marketing materials and menus are positioned appropriately
• Maintain positive working relationships with Team Members and managers
• Work as a contributing member of a team and strive to exceed Guest expectations with friendly service, food, fun, and value

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Alcohol Safety Certification, provided within the first 7 days of training if not already certified
• Superior customer service and hospitality skills
• Prior experience as a server or in a customer service role
• Knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and security procedures
• Knowledge of Homegrown Hospitality Group’s food and beverage menu with ability to make suggestions to enhance dining experience and increase sales
• Knowledge of current marketing initiatives and upcoming events to invite guests to return
• Excellent verbal communication and ability to create a personalized, positive dining experience
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to take direction and work toward team and company objectives
• Basic math skills and ability to handle money; basic knowledge of POS systems
• Conflict management, analytical skills, and emotional intelligence to resolve guest issues
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service procedures per state laws and company policies
• Ability to follow service timelines while engaging Guests and customizing their experience
• Ability to maintain pace and intensity for extended periods
• Reliability and punctuality, including willingness to cover shifts as needed

Salary Range: $2.13/hour (plus tips)
