Goal: Weber CTC is structured as a department within UWNU’s Community Resource Team. This is a highly visible leadership position in the Weber High School cone (WHS and its feeder schools). It can also be defined as the cities of North Ogden, Pleasant View, Harrisville, and Ogden Valley. The coordinator position interacts with key community leaders, nonprofit and government agencies, an extensive volunteer base including parents and students, and other stakeholders to facilitate program goals and objectives.

As the full-time coordinator, this position will oversee the daily work of the Assistant Coordinator and ensure that responsibilities are delegated when appropriate. The coordinator will serve as the primary contact and manager for all Weber CTC grant reporting and fiscal oversight, and the primary liaison between Weber CTC and UWNU.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborative community relationships

  • Serve as Weber CTC’s front-line representative and meet with local officials, school district leaders, and others to promote community support for Weber CTC and its strategies.
  • Coordinate outreach and community presentations.
  • Work with people from various levels, from youth to administration to elected officials.
  • Facilitate the preparation and release of survey information to the community.
  • Success in this position depends on being visibly present and actively engaged in the community.
  • Oversee community volunteer coordination, recognition, training, travel/accommodations for conferences, and communications.
  • Work with volunteer leaders to ensure the collaborative success of Weber CTC’s three volunteer groups: the Key Leader Board, Youth Council, and Community Board.
  • Collaborate with volunteer working groups on the following focuses: funding, data, outreach and public relations, board maintenance, and youth advisory.

Data management and outcome reporting

  • Work with Weber CTC members to develop short—and long-term goals
  • Ensure that Weber CTC’s logic model goals are achieved through a robust action plan and comply with funding and grant requirements.
  • Implement, evaluate, and make necessary program changes to support the Weber CTC’s goals and identify practical, evidence-based programming..
  • Prepare statistical reports, process data, and perform other related tasks.

Fiscal oversight

  • Oversee the Weber CTC budget ($300k+), including managing and reporting all funding sources.
  • Ensure all grant reports are completed promptly according to funders’ standards and requirements—balance funding sources with federal, state, and matching sources.
  • Research and write grants that align with the Weber CTC’s goals.
  • Secure braided funding streams to promote sustainability.
  • Provide basic financial reports applicable to the Weber CTC action plan to the UWNU fiscal team.

Program administration
