Assistant Teacher Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children. Usually assisted by a lead teacher. Responsible for addressing all concerns from parents, children, and classroom staff.
• Ensure the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom are maintained.
• Complete all necessary paperwork such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reports.
• Manage all classroom paperwork to ensure proper organization.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested.
• Communicate appropriate information to parents and maintain developmental profiles for children.
• Report any issues to the teacher-in-charge or director.
• Be able to assume appropriate postures for safety and engagement, maintain visual contact with children, and participate in physical activities with children.
• Meet all state requirements for the position. 1 to 2 years of experience in group childcare is preferred.
