First Baptist Church, a vibrant congregation of ~100 attendees in North Platte, NE, seeks a dedicated male Assistant Pastor to join our team. This role supports our senior pastor as he focuses on ministry and growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Preaching, teaching, and leading small groups as needed.
• Assisting with evangelism and community outreach.
• Managing administrative tasks (office coordination, scheduling, budgeting).
• Overseeing facility maintenance and operations.
• Supporting ministry growth (e.g., youth, children’s programs) with fresh perspectives.
• Planning for the church’s future, with the opportunity to transition into the Lead Pastor role over time.

Qualifications:

• Male, ordained or pursuing ordination, with strong Bible knowledge and teaching/preaching ability.
• Age 40-60 preferred, bringing seasoned experience and practical wisdom.
• Vibrant personal spiritual life, compatible with Baptist theology and our congregation.
• Administrative skills or willingness to learn, with a shepherding heart.
• Desire to engage actively with the church and community, ideally with family involvement.
• Bonus skills:
  Music leadership, technology (e.g., podcasts), or youth ministry experience (not required).
