** The Clinic Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the clinic. The Clinic Manager works closely with physicians, patients and their families, billing and administrative staff, and other Clinic Managers to assure regulatory compliance and efficient office operations.
Minimum Qualifications Education High School diploma or equivalent required
Credentials None Work Environment General office setting. Open office arrangement with some exposure to noise. May be asked to travel to practice locations.
Physical Demands Sit constantly.
Stand and walk occasionally.
Bend and reach floor to over head occasionally.
Frequent computer use.
Lift floor to waist up to 50# occasionally.
Carry up to 50# fifty feet at waist level occasionally.
Demonstrate vision, color acuity, and fine motor coordination within normal limits for age and gender.
Essential Functions Exercises effective communication with staff, physicians, and patients. Responds in a timely manner, adheres to all compliance regulations and customer service guidelines, and accepts responsibility for own decisions and actions.
Participates in the development of clinic operating procedures to maintain an effective patient-physician work flow. Assists with the implementation and administration of organizational policies and procedures and constantly reviews procedures to evaluate efficiency and initiates change when necessary.
Interviews, hires, and terminates employees. Effectively supervises clinic staff by scheduling and assigning work to accommodate patient flow, minimizes overtime, and evaluates the need for staff development. Monitors staff compliance with time and attendance policies, completes periodic performance evaluations, and follows disciplinary processes as appropriate for clinic staff.
Reviews and approves time records of all staff and providers. Approves all sick, paid time off/vacation, and emergency leave in accordance with clinic policy.
Demonstrates commitment to continual learning, growth and development of staff by ensuring the completion of all orientations, training and development opportunities available for staff members.
Oversees clinic facilities, equipment and supplies to assure efficient and effective operations, optimize patient and staff safety, and compliance with regulations.
Develops clinic budget with the assistance of the Director of Business Services and regularly compares actual to projected expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget.
Oversees the Revenue Cycle process in the clinic operation practices. Ensures proper implementation of the pre-visit process, the patient check-in process, charge capture and charge entry, processing of claims.
Actively engages in opportunities to promote the clinic to increase productivity and profitability.#
