Defense Litigation Associate

We are seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Associate with approximately 5 years of litigation experience to join our Omaha office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with clients, and grow within a collaborative and well‑established practice.

$/yr - $/yr

• Manage all phases of civil defense litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial and appeal
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Handle written discovery and case strategy development
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Nebraska Bar (or ability to obtain promptly)
• Approximately 5 years of civil defense litigation experience
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience handling cases with a high degree of autonomy
• Trial experience is a plus
