Pay: The hourly pay rate range for this position is 22.55 + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to North Platte and may not be applicable to other locations.
What your day in this role might involve at OC-North Platte:Responsibilities
Receives machining schedule from supervisor, reads and interprets customer machine diagrams and identify machining spec errors, advanced understanding of machining diagrams and setup is performed on a computer or manually set the machine, perform quality checks, processes each door in cue, label/tag doors as required, blows off each door, ability to program Kval & Architect Machines, operate cut out machine, hand drill, pneumatic braid gun, and squaring tools.
Performs regularly reoccurring tooling changes. The position is more manual position where you are manually changing components to the product. Ability to change the tooling out frequently based up on the customer diagrams.
Must haves include…
- Preparation use and cleaning of Architect machine
- Operating a computer-controlled machine
- Knowledge of all door skins and cores
- Ability to use hand tools; wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.
- Ability to operate a computer to set and pre-set and make own programs to run the computer.
- Time management to control/coordinate stacks into/out of the computer-controlled machine
- Reliable with high integrity and strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated with a-results driven approach, and able to work with little supervision if needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- High degree of communication
- Able to convert fractions to decimals and to do math.
- Understanding of all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Basic reading and writing skills.
- Good attendance and the ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as requested by management.
- Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
- The ability to work accurately, thoroughly and meet deadlines
- This position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and be highly alert at all times
- Stand for 10 - 12 hours straight
- Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 60-pounds)
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
