• Coordinate the overall operations of an assigned dedicated account, including overseeing drivers and providing customer service, to ensure loads are delivered safely and timely.
• Assign loads and routes to drivers based upon available hours and customer needs.
• Serve as the main point‑of‑contact for an assigned customer base and monitor all customer‑specific loads from the time the load is tendered until it is delivered.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities as needed to effectively manage drivers, including coaching, planning, assigning work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Communicate customer issues and concerns with the appropriate departments as needed.
• Monitor trailer pools at assigned customer locations, coordinate movement of trailers when necessary, and provide guidance if trailer detention issues arise.
• Validate driver hours of service to safely and legally facilitate the delivery of loads.
• Balance time off requests made by drivers with the operational need to move freight.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships.
• Receive and carry out instructions.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Travel as needed.
