ScheduleTues‑Fri: 10:30 am‑7:00 pm Sat: 9:00 am‑5:30 pm.
Work LocationOnsite at a closed‑door pharmacy in North Port, Florida. All patient interactions occur over the phone.
Responsibilities- Process customer bills and insurance claims accurately and promptly.
- Execute daily, month‑end billing functions, procedures and reporting.
- Provide customer service to patients, caregivers, medical providers and insurance carriers.
- Perform daily census, admissions, discharges and room changes for assigned facilities.
- Handle patient payments, returns, credits and debit card transactions.
- Investigate and resolve billing inquiries via phone or electronic communication.
- Research patient eligibility and coverage; reverify benefits for follow‑up claims.
- Maintain patient files and supporting documentation for audits and compliance.
- Assist residents during open and special enrollment periods with Medicare plan comparisons.
- Reconcile reimbursements, pursue delinquent payments and arrange settlements.
- Adjudicate prescription claims, communicate with insurers on rejections, authorizations, and other issues.
- Develop proficiency in pharmacy information systems for prior authorizations, reporting and billing functions.
- Rotate through other departments to gain functional knowledge.
- Adhere to government regulations including HIPAA.
- Collaborate with the team to meet pharmacy service goals.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Pharmacy Technician license, certification or registration as required by state; national certification (PTCB) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
- Advanced computer skills; experience with pharmacy information systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Quality‑mindful; motivated to identify errors and verify accuracy.
