HVAC Service Area Manager

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Service Area Manager to lead service operations in the North Port, Florida area.

In this role you will manage a team of technicians, ensure safe, timely, and quality service, and serve as the primary customer contact.

• Lead, motivate, and mentor HVAC service technicians to achieve performance goals.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on accountability and customer service excellence.
• Coordinate and schedule HVAC service calls and projects to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor workloads and response times to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
• Oversee workmanship and compliance with HVAC standards, local codes, and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and address concerns professionally.
• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
• Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing skill development.
• Manage inventory, tools, vehicles, and equipment for daily operations.
• Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and development plans.
• Monitor labor costs, service margins, and profitability while implementing cost‑control initiatives.
• Promote a safety‑first culture, ensure OSHA and EPA compliance, and conduct safety meetings.

• Minimum of 2 years supervisory or managerial experience as an HVAC service technician.
• Valid HVAC license and EPA certification required by Florida regulations.
• Strong technical knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems, controls, and codes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with dispatching and service management software.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and safety.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
