About the PositionDo you have the spark to ignite your welding career? Power Design is searching for Welder/Pipe fitters to become pivotal players in our mission to deliver top-tier projects. This role works under the supervision of our Piping Foreman to ensure we provide quality installs on ground‑up, multi‑family construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience with pipe fitting and hydronic systems and can ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

- Perform layout, welding, and assembly of hydronic piping systems, including steel, stainless steel, and copper materials
- Install and secure piping systems for hydronic heating and cooling, ensuring proper alignment and function
- Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions and procedures
- Ensure all installations adhere to code and Power Design’s standards of quality, safety, and best practices
- Familiarity with hydronic system components, including boilers, pumps, and piping required
- Strong understanding of welding and fabrication standards for plumbing and HVAC systems
- Educational training completed through an accredited program or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
- One or more of the following certifications required: 6g Pipe Welding, NCCER Pipe fitting/Welding, or CWF (Certified Welding Fabricator)
- Proficient knowledge of the NCCER standards, local codes, and construction safety requirements
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high quality work
- Ability to physically perform the essential functions of the job
- Use of proper protective clothing or equipment worn at all times
