OverviewThe Department of Economics invites applications for one tenure-track position at the assistant professor level beginning in the Fall 2027. We are interested in macroeconomists who specialize in economic growth and related long-term economic issues (innovation, human capital, climate change, income distribution, etc.) or public policy (fiscal, macro-prudential, etc.). The new hire will be expected to teach principles of macroeconomics and electives in their fields of specialization.
Salary: $85,000-$100,000
Education and ExperienceCandidates are expected to have completed their Ph.D. in Economics prior to the start date, have evidence of promise in research, and have demonstrated a capacity for effective teaching and a willingness to be active in service to Providence College and the community. As our student body becomes increasingly diverse, we welcome applicants with experience teaching and mentoring students from a range of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
