Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing patient and family centered care that is safe, efficient, timely and effective. The RN partners with the patient and family to determine individual patient preferences, needs and values and ensures that patient values guide all clinical decisions. The RN uses clinical expertise to integrate physical assessment findings with the patient and family preferences to establish mutual care goals and a plan to deliver optimal patient care based on best practices.
The RN collaborates with the health care team to deliver holistic, timely care. The RN evaluates and documents the progress of the patient toward the established goals and outcomes and alters the plan of care when appropriate to expedite patient progress.
Diploma or Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
LicensureCurrent RI license required; BLS required. ACLS required.
Experience1-2 years of previous nursing experience preferred.
