Certified Nursing Assistant (12 Hour) (SW) – Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc. Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the Registered Nurse (RN) in providing patient and family centered care that is safe, efficient, timely and effective. The CNA performs patient care under the direct supervision of an RN. The CNA is assigned tasks that are reasonably predictable, do not require assessment, interpretation or independent decision making during its performance or do not pose any risk to the patient.

• Assist the RN in providing patient and family-centered care under RN supervision.
• Perform predictable tasks that do not require assessment or independent decision making.
• Follow universal precautions and maintain a safe environment.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year experience as a CNA.
• Current RI CNA certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

• Work in a well-lit and well-ventilated area.
• Meet annual safety training and health-testing requirements.
• Adhere to universal precautions at all times.

• Stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, stretching and reaching.
• May be required to lift heavy objects weighing 25 pounds or more.
