Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing organization in Massachusetts. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage the full bookkeeping cycle with accuracy, maintain organized financial records, and provide dependable support for monthly reporting and close activities.

The right candidate will bring strong Quick Books experience and a hands-on approach to payables, receivables, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the complete bookkeeping function, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.

- Manage incoming invoices and outgoing payments while maintaining positive communication with vendors regarding billing and account questions.

- Process customer invoicing, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on receivables to support healthy cash flow.

- Prepare and review key financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for leadership visibility.

- Reconcile bank activity and balance sheet accounts regularly to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

- Maintain the general ledger and post entries needed to support routine accounting operations and period-end accuracy.

- Lead month-end closing tasks by organizing account activity, reviewing discrepancies, and finalizing supporting documentation.

- Assist with audit preparation by gathering financial records, reconciling accounts, and responding to documentation requests. Requirements - Demonstrated experience performing full charge bookkeeping in a business environment that requires strong attention to detail.

- Hands-on proficiency with Quick Books and confidence using it for daily accounting activities.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.

- Experience preparing reconciliations for bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.

- Ability to produce accurate financial statements and support month-end close responsibilities.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Effective communication skills for working with vendors, internal teams, and external auditors.
