It is a fast-paced operation that works cross-functionally and is driven by data and metrics.

Role

We are seeking a Robotics Supply Chain New Product Lead - Tech to tackle the most critical, technologically advanced products  Lead will manage a small portfolio of robotic products, responsible for supplier and supply chain strategies, product cost roadmaps, enabling rapid NPI builds, and ensuring a successful ramp to mass production. They will manage products from concept through development to scaled deployment, working with senior product and engineering leaders to balance commercial and technical constraints, risks, and goals.

They will drive multiple advanced technologies and commodities to a clear path to production.

Essential to the role is a technical subject matter expertise to work with technical teams developing robotic products. This includes understanding technologies and architectures, development and integration strategy, and trajectory within Amazon and the broader industry. The role contributes to technical strategies and decisions, balancing technical and business requirements to help engineering teams deliver scalable products that meet cost targets.

The Senior New Product Lead - Tech is a trusted expert, consulted by teams at multiple levels. They communicate with direct and indirect stakeholders, advocate for commercial opportunities, contribute to strategic documents, own forecasting and planning, and regularly report on status and impact. Their impact is measured by quantifiable metrics and the ability to influence business outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Product Development Process with cross-functional supply chain teams for supplier design, sourcing, logistics decisions, and execution from concept to scaled deployment.
  • Act as the single point of contact for program resources to communicate supply chain decisions and progress, provide feedback on implications, and support financial planning and capital approvals.
  • Collaborate with Robotics leadership to ensure partnerships between Robotics Supply Chain, hardware engineering, operations, and program teams on commodity and supplier selection, cost trade-offs, roadmaps, and rapid development stages leading to scaled deployment.
  • Define and approve Product-level Supply Chain Strategy documents, identify critical components and suppliers, develop cost roadmaps to meet payback targets, and define capacity plans, tooling needs, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop negotiation strategies with sourcing for categories impacting the product to meet business objectives and build sustainable supplier relationships for priority programs guided by the Operating Plan.
  • Partner with GCMs to manage supplier relationships, including performance, capability development, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation, and cost/quality improvements.
  • Develop a roadmap to achieve NPI and total cost targets (TCO), including make-vs-buy analyses and value engineering opportunities.
  • Ensure non-cost goals (Sustainability, Supplier Development, Cost Savings) are met and supported by the product-specific supply chain strategy.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics, or related field.
  • 6+ years of high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing experience.
  • Experience working with engineering and product teams to define a product and bring it to market.
  • Knowledge of basic supply agreement construction and key contracting provisions/requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
