Maintenance Technician – On‑Site

About

The Role

Utilizes skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of building, systems, equipment and grounds at our client locations, all within proximity of each other. Working under limited supervision, utilizes skills such as carpentry, painting, furniture assembly, locksmith, minor plumbing and electrical.

What You’ll Do
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Review all work orders, estimate time and materials, communicate with the requestor, order materials, and schedule vendors as needed.
  • Perform daily facility tours, audit bathrooms, kitchens, and conference rooms, document findings, and recommend actions for repairs, ensuring the facility is maintained to client specifications.
  • Act as a liaison with work performed by outside contractors, including snowplowing, remodeling, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, food service, event and equipment setup and breakdown, and cleaning.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations and summon additional assistance as needed.
  • Occasional weekend work; support third‑party vendors completing contracted work.
  • Travel to other local client locations (approximately 20%).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2+ years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES:
    Universal CFC certification preferred. Additional certification in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
  • Meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
  • Self‑starter and proactive.

The minimum salary for the position is $55,000 annually and the maximum salary is $65,000 annually. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
