Position Overview
As a Commercial HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of commercial HVAC systems. This role is ideal for a technician who is confident working independently, values professionalism, and enjoys solving complex mechanical and electrical system issues.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system failures
- Service and repair equipment including: chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, and mini-splits
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
- Use diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and manifold gauges
- Provide accurate system diagnostics and repair/replacement estimates
- Perform welding as needed for equipment and piping repairs
- Operate and maintain a company vehicle and travel to job sites
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical HVAC systems
- Experience with boilers, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, RTUs, and split systems
- Proficient in reading and understanding schematics and blueprints
- Ability to safely use electrical diagnostic tools
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- EPA Universal Certification (preferred)
