Stamping Press Operator

• Verifies correct material and documentation for production run
• Installs and aligns dies in press according to specifications
• Adjusts ram stroke to specified height as needed
• Threads and positions coil material through feed line equipment into progressive die
• Positions and adjusts feed line equipment, scrap trays, and part containers
• Operates automatic press line observing operation to detect misalignment or malfunction
• Reads and interprets blueprints and assembly instructions
• Inspects work pieces for conformance to specifications and makes adjustments to correct errors. Isolates non-conforming product
• Labels, scans, and moves product per procedures
• Completes basic machine troubleshooting and corrective maintenance
• Cleans and lubricates machines and maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion
• Maintains a safe environment by following procedures and highlighting any potential hazards
• Addresses press line problems by enlisting the help of support staff
• Signals for needed inventory using computer
• Documents actions by entering production and inventory computer transactions and by completing quality forms
• Able to identify, analyze, and address production problems with the aid of production support
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A High school diploma or GED
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components
• Physical stamina and strength
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs
• Able to perform repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods of time
• Mechanical and technical skills a plus
