- Advocate of Empathy: understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Patient Observer: discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are; collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Master of the Mise en Scène: set the stage for a successful day by preparing environments such as dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
- Life Partner: partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Excellent documenting of resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude toward residents.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Active, capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping all day.
- Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and assisting after a fall.
- Criminally cleared.
