Job Overview

Borowske Builders is seeking an experienced and confident Lead Carpenter / Site Foreman to run high-end remodeling projects across Cleveland’s west and south suburbs. If you’re a true builder—not just a helper—who can read drawings, run equipment, lead crews, and deliver top‑tier craftsmanship, this role is your next step. You’ll oversee everything from advanced framing and layout to managing subs, running equipment, and making sure the job is done right the first time.

This is not a seasonal or part‑time position. This is a long‑term leadership opportunity for someone who takes pride in running an organized, high‑quality job site.

Who We Are

Borowske Builders is a well‑established design‑build remodeling company with 40 years of experience delivering premium additions, kitchens, baths, decks, and full‑home renovations. We build with precision, maintain clean and safe sites, and treat every project and person with professionalism. We don’t cut corners—and we don’t hire people who do. If you’re tired of unorganized companies and sloppy construction, you’ll thrive in our team of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced framing (walls, roofs, LVLs, structural tie‑ins)
  • Install cabinetry, windows, doors, trim, flooring, tile, and finishes
  • Complete demolition and punch‑list work with accuracy and speed
  • Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and momentum at all times
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and architectural plans
  • Apply residential code knowledge across framing, masonry, roofing, flooring, and finishes
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure code compliance and avoid inspection delays
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate excavators, skid steers, and mini track loaders
    • Handle trenching, grading, back filling, and material movement
    • Safely tow and maneuver trailers with tools and equipment
  • Leadership & Jobsite Coordination
    • Lead carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors with clear direction
    • Coordinate daily with the office and Project Manager
    • Track materials, schedule inspections, and push projects forward
    • Uphold professionalism in all homeowner interactions
Qualifications
  • Required:
    • 5+ years of hands‑on residential carpentry or remodeling experience
    • 2+ years running job sites or leading crews
    • Proficient in reading construction drawings
    • Deep understanding of residential building codes
    • Skilled in operating excavation equipment and towing trailers
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable truck
    • Own full set of professional tools
    • Strong communication and jobsite leadership skills
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in patios, foundations, structural work, or additions
    • Familiarity with Buildertrend or project management software
    • Willingness and ability to mentor apprentices
