Position Summary
Lift Solutions Holdings provides end-to-end industrial lifting solutions. We offer OSHA compliance inspections, crane equipment, aftermarket services, and parts for overhead cranes and other lifting equipment. We are hiring a Crane Technician to join the team in the Cleveland, OH area. The Crane Technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance, and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. The Technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.
Duties & Responsibilities- Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
- Perform OSHA equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
- Support customers by effectively interfacing with the customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
- Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
- Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
- Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
- Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
- Responsible for company equipment including company vehicle(s) and tools.
- 5 or more years’ troubleshooting of cranes and hoist equipment is required.
- Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contractors, and circuits.
- Previous overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
- Ability to work at height, in extreme temperature and noisy locations; physically demanding job involving standing, walking, sitting, and the ability to lift 50–100 lbs.
- Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
- Ability to work independently.
- Capable of dealing directly with the customer and representing self and company in a professional manner.
- Communication skills internally and externally, informing both the company and the customer the status of the job.
- Quality and results driven while maintaining a safety mindset.
- Required to use own hand tools and meter.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
