Attendance & Pastoral Support Officer

We are recruiting an Attendance & Pastoral Support Officer to join a resilient and ambitious secondary school in North Tyneside. This is a pivotal role within a school that has placed renewed focus on high expectations, student engagement and rebuilding strong community relationships.

You will play a central part in improving attendance, supporting vulnerable learners and working closely with families to remove barriers to education.

North Tyneside
£100 – £120 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

• Monitor and track student attendance data

• Follow up on absence and persistent absenteeism

• Liaise with parents and external agencies

• Support vulnerable students to improve engagement

• Work alongside pastoral and safeguarding teams

• Experience working in attendance, pastoral or safeguarding roles

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Confident working with families and external agencies

• Calm, professional and solution-focused

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• PAYE only
