We're recruiting for a Project Engineer in North Shields for our client, an established engineering organisation specialising in technical engineering support, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and maintenance management solutions for customers within the marine and defence sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary or commercial shipping engineering background who enjoys technical problem solving, engineering documentation and working within a highly professional engineering environment.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

The Role Authoring technical publications including ship handbooks and operating manuals. Producing maintenance procedures and fault diagnostic schedules. Supporting maintenance management database population. Conducting Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) analysis and reporting. Preparing spare parts data and spare parts analysis. Supporting engineering activities onboard vessels and at customer sites when required. Delivering high quality engineering support across multiple customer projects.
What Were Looking For Marine, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering background with maritime experience. Experience maintaining or operating engineering systems or equipment. HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification preferred. Good IT and Microsoft Office skills. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Willingness to undertake occasional UK and overseas travel. Ex military candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those from the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, Merchant Navy or commercial shipping sectors.
