Job Overview

Moving and Handling Trainer – Trustwide – Part time or Job share. An exciting opportunity for Band 5 Healthcare professionals to assist in the provision of an expert, specialised Manual Handling service. This role supports the Moving and Handling Advisory Service (MHAS) by delivering training, advice and support on moving and handling people and objects across the Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Support MHAS by providing expert training, advice and support on moving and handling.
  • Help develop moving and handling services and deliver exemplary clinical practice that reduces incidents and promotes safety.
  • Lead with compassionate, inclusive leadership, engaging, enabling and empowering others, coaching for ownership of learning and quality improvement, and facilitating collaboration across teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid driving licence and ability to use a car for work or a Trust personal lease vehicle.
  • Physically fit to perform equipment demonstrations and manoeuvres.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Complies with Fit and Proper Person Requirements (FPPR) and undergoes necessary pre-employment checks.
  • Pay own DBS certification if required (salary deduction from first pay).
  • Eligible overseas workers may be sponsored under the Trust’s sponsor licence (subject to UKVI eligibility).
